a journey to one's mind. A diary of fashion and exploration of inner creativity.
fashion design student from f.i.t.
Final collection for CFDA. Sorry if I didn’t post much. Lack of recording skill that most people seems to have naturally. I will have to take more pictures if I ever want to make this blog as a creative thought exploration blog or creative mind psychology blog? Not sure where I’m taking this lol.
Medium: Markers, color pencils, and white gel pen. Minimally edited in Photoshop for alignment and size.
Btw. Forgot to mention that this collection inspired by origami, japanese paper doll, kimono, etc. That explains why it’s unlikely I’m chosen for the American sportswear category LoL.

CFDA: A fashion competition between major fashion schools in the U.S. Objective: Design an American Sportswear collection.
Only 6th semester students can participate in this all out competition between schools and earn the chance to receive recognition and scholarship.

Here are a couple of pictures that I post and will post later for the CFDA.

As of now, the CFDA competition is still ongoing for the finalists. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it into the top three FIT representatives. I am, of course, a bit disappointed like many of the other hundreds of participants, but as a participant in the fusion fashion show competition also, I think I put too much in my plate this time. So much that it affected my CFDA work and school works too.
I realized that I am not as fast, efficient, and practical as I wanted to be. I always change my mind in the last minute and I don’t follow through most of the time. These are the weaknesses I have to overcome if I ever want to be successful in the future.

From now on, I want to make this blog as a sort of ‘progress’ or ‘development’ blog where I could explore my thought processes. And maybe, if I have the time, include the concept/description and inputs of the things I post.
