Preppy style with a little bit of Asian twist.
This is my first shot of myself. I’m very shy so I tend not to post pictures of my clothes or my face because I’ve never been comfortable with spotlighting myself publicly. I’ve always been told that I’m not photogenic, fat, bad fashion sense etc etc. so I used to have really low self-confidence
But now that I’m in ny as a fashion design major, I’m starting to be more comfortable with myself. I shouldn’t think too much and worried about people judging me. By doing that, I felt restricted and embarrassed of myself. In the end, I became reserved and anti-social. If I could learn to love myself by coming out of my bubble little by little, I might actually appreciate what it means to live freely.
FYI. My best friend styled this for me :) I love the yellow batik silk scarf I bought from Indonesia and would love to get more in the future if I go for another visit. I love scarfs. It’s one of my favorite accessories. Please visit my friend’s tumblr. He will one day be a great fashion designer. Of course that doesn’t mean that I will give him all the glory in the future ;P
Nightmare Paintings by Anton Semenov
Semenov’s paintings are from a land that lives in the perpetually dimly-lit space beneath the floorboards of your mind, only waiting to make soft, creaking noises when you finally lie down to sleep. Check out all his gloom-devoured paintings at deviantart.
